Concierge Recommends - North Point

Royal Westmoreland

If you are looking for a casual dining experience but don’t want to compromise on the ‘wow factor’, visit The Restaurant at Animal Flower Cave in the parish of St. Lucy; the most northerly point of the island.

Animal Flower Cave was given its name due to the sea anemones that appear in the natural pools of the cave, creating formations that have been coloured green and brown by oxidation of copper and iron. Some of the pools are deep enough for you to take a swim and enjoy breath-taking views of the ocean.

If you are left hungry for more, finish your visit with a tasty treat at the recently opened restaurant, offering some of Barbados’ favourite dishes. The grilled Mahi Mahi with Julienne vegetables, sweet potato/plantain mash and a fresh tomato salsa certainly got our taste buds excited.

Animal Flower Cave is open between 9.00am to 4.30pm from Monday to Sunday. For further information, please email animalflowercave@yahoo.com or call 246-439-8797.

Address: North Coast, Flatfield, St. Lucy
