In early March, Barbados will warmly welcome the arrival of the England Cricket Team, with three 20/20 international games scheduled to be played at the famed Kensington Oval.

With the West Indies highly regarded in this shorter format of the game, and England’s recent disappointing showing on their tour of Australia, these explosive and exciting matches promise much hope for Caribbean success.

On display will be the world famous hitting power of Caribbean stars Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo, and with each match only lasting a few hours, a day at the cricket would make an ideal family day out.

If cricket isn’t your game, come March 8th, the island is gripped with horse racing fever, in anticipation of the biggest equestrian event in the Caribbean – The Sandy Lane Gold Cup.

Taking place at Barbados’ historic Garrison Savannah Race Track, the day celebrates high quality racing action, attracting entrants and jockeys from the USA and the UK, and spectators from around the world.
A brilliant day out, the event is the perfect excuse to don your smartest outfit and enjoy a glass of champagne whilst watching the action unfold.
