What's on: Lime Holetown Festival from 9th - 16th February

Visitors to the island are often keen to visit nearby Holetown, popular for its luxurious lifestyle and shopping centre, Lime Grove.

However, a lesser known fact is that Holetown is actually the first settlement of Barbados, dating back to 1627.

In proud recognition of its history, this February, The LIME Holetown Festival celebrates the area over seven days, with a multitude of local attractions and displays.

Highlights include the 38th annual Banks / Coca Cola Street Fair, featuring fabulous street food and Bajan arts and crafts stalls, ‘The Holetown Dooflicky’, a folk parade and Bajan carnival, and the festival’s grand finale – the Queen of the Festival beauty pageant.

Full of typical Bajan spirit and hospitality, taking part in this unique local festival is a great way to see an authentic side of Barbados.
