This month we look at the Templer family's four bedroom villa on Sugar Cane Ridge which they bought off plan in the summer of 2009. Caroline, a magistrate, her Financial Consultant husband Bill and their two sons from Guildford in Surrey, originally visited Royal Westmoreland to holiday with friends ten years ago.
With Bill a keen golfer and the whole family sport fans, the onsite championship golf course and the leisure facilities appealed greatly.
Caroline says: "We deliberately chose a four bedroom property as it makes it possible for two families to rent together. The house is close to the first tee, the Clubhouse, tennis courts and gym, which is important for potential renters."
They moved into their home in August 2011 and started renting it out initially to their friends to get their feedback. Caroline says: "We are expecting that the rental income we receive on the property will cover all our costs on an annual basis going forward."
